The reason you need to put at least your username and e-mail on your profile is for security/privacy reasons. No one can see your e-mail address except Administration, It is so that Administration can check that you are a genuine member, (i.e. female) who meets the membership requirements (has said Shahada, respects the Sunnah, and is not known to be of bad character). Even if you have been specifically invited by Administration you still must provide at least your username and e-mail on your profile.

People who cannot be identified as meeting the current membership requirements will be permanently banned as a security measure. If this happens to you and you are a genuine member you will have to go through the registration process again, which may require a different e-mail address, so it is in everyone's best interest to sort their profile out even before introducing yourself.
